BUDGIE UPDATE week two

Hellooo,
another week has gone by and our baby budgies are growing every day.

I have decided to bring your baby budgies into the brooder next week (once they’re roughly 3 weeks of age) to hand-raise. I want to make the transition to your home as smooth as possible and from my experience a hand raised bird is so special. The remaining budgies I am going to let mum and dad raise themselves.

LUMA & HALO UPDATE:

the last and final baby hatched on the 20th June, so we have six beautiful babies in this clutch.

I’m very curious to know what colouring comes through on these ones. We haven’t bred these two before, so we have no idea what genetics might be hiding in the background, and it’s always fun to see what is passed onto the offspring.

DAHLIA & EMMETT UPDATE:

we currently have four babies in the nest, and one more left to hatch…
this is their last clutch for the season, in the past these two created a beautiful seafoam/white cinnamon pied baby, a opaline cinnamon green/yellow baby, a creamino baby and a lacewing baby.
I am SO curious what comes through feathering-wise with this sweet clutch. time will tell…
